Algarve Travel Tips

  • Vilamoura marina - Attractive with a good selection of restaurants, terraces and shops.

  • Wild dolphins boat trips - Be aware that dolphins watch is no guaranted. You can ended up with just fast speed boat trip!

  • Telephone calls - Do not make your telephone calls from hotels. Their charges can be really absurd!

  • Restaurants - As rule of thumb restaurants' kitchens are open for lunch from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm and for dinner from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Busiest times are around 1pm for lunch and 9pm for dinner.

  • Albufeira strip - The Strip could be anywhere in the world. No atmosphere and nothing Portugese. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs. You know what to expect... Drink prices worth asking before you ask. Could be half the price in the bar next door.

  • Boat excursions on the Ria Formosa - In Faro, by the docs, there are a few stands that sell boat excursions on the Ria Formosa. The visits are scheduled to happen several times a day but are depending on the weather conditions.
